Please Read, Update From John

Update from John: One of the things that saddens me the most is that my two grandsons won’t know their Nana. My 9-year old will have some memories and my 4-month old won’t. We will have a letter box at all the services. Would you please write them a letter telling them something that their Nana taught you? Help me pass on her life-lessons to them. (Just one letter – we can copy it and make a book for each grandchild. Please address it “Dear Nana’s Angel” so it will apply to any grandchild. Paper is easier to copy than a folded card.) Thanks!

More from John

Update from John: In addition to the services this week I mentioned earlier, we are having a Memorial Service for Chris at YFC’s Adventure Center gym on 11/17 at 1:00. This will be a time for tributes, memories and celebration of her life. For the wake, funeral and memorial service, PLEASE DO NOT WEAR BLACK. Chris requested that we all wear bright colors and be happy for her. Thanks!

Update from John

Update from John: We’ve already received many messages about flowers and are humbled by the out-pouring of love and messages. They are very encouraging. Chris was the most practical person we’ve ever known and we want to ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider helping us complete the new Christi’s Cafe at the YFC Adventure Center. We decided to name the cafe after Chris and had hoped for her to see it’s completion.

Funeral Information

Update from John: Calling hours this Thursday, 11/7, 4:00-8:00pm at Bond Funeral Home in Schenectady. Funeral is Friday 11/8 at 11:00am at CityView Church in Scotia. Burial to follow.

Prayer for all who loved Chris is appreciated.

Message from John

(Shared and partially written by Jean)

Update from John:” The fight is over, and Chris has won. She is healed and dancing in the arms of our Savior. She went home last night between 9:30/10:00 peacefully in her sleep. Service details to follow shortly. Thank you for standing with us.”

Please continue to lift up Chris’s family and other loved ones in prayer. Pray for peace, comfort, and joy in their salvation and in the knowledge of the love of Christ for each one of them. Chris is no longer in our present, but she is now in our future. I can just see her now, completely healed, whole, and in the arms of her savior, dancing and rejoicing that she is home. Praise the Lord, He makes all things new, and He is the victor.

Message from Becky

(paritally written by Jean)

Update from Becky: My family is so weary, heartbroken and worn. We are at Mom’s bedside around the clock – no other place we’d rather be. Please pray for peace and strength for us. Please pray for peace and comfort for Mom. My uncle (Mom’s brother) sent this song and it really hits home for us.

Please continue to intercede for the Richmond family. Prayer for each heart to be comforted, each heart to be immersed in the love of God, and for peace which surpasses all of our human understanding, as they go through this difficult time. Thank you.

Peace, Comfort, and Love

(written by Jean)

Please continue to lift Chris up in prayer. The family is now being helped by Hospice, which has provided some much needed equipment including a hospital bed. Pray for peace, comfort, and for Chris and family to experience the love of the Lord through this time. Prayer for healing, joy in the midst of the storm, and the peace which passes all understanding, is appreciated.
